Turkey infused with Rosemary, Meyer Lemon or Italian Herb Olive Oil
The classic Turkey basted with flavour infused olive oil instead of butter!
- Prep your turkey by washing it thoroughly in salt water inside and out (remove giblets).
- Then run your hand under the skin and next to the breast meat, gently separating the skin from the meat.
- Now add a generous amount of your chosen olive oil to the area between the meat and the skin.
Tip: you can also add herbs under the skin, such as sage, rosemary, thyme, tarragon, lemon – so many wonderful options for extra flavour
- Next, slather the outside of the skin with olive oil and sprinkle with salt before placing in the oven to roast.
- Continue to baste throughout the roasting process.
This method will ensure a crackling, crisp skin and crowd pleasing taste. Roast as directed for your size of Turkey.
